Brain Power Boost- a new side effect of exercise?
by Jacqueline Stader
In October 2009, Good Morning America’s Claire Shipman did a piece on a new study that showed cognitive improvement occurred after moderate exercise.
This story intrigued me not just because I tune into everything research related but because she actually did the test and showed an improvement in her own cognitive skill level after just 20 minutes on the treadmill at a moderate pace.
But as usual, I got busy and forgot about it...
...Now, as the holidays are approaching and the inevitable New Years diet promises that surely follow, I decided to change around my thinking and go for the brain power boost and not the diet talk that always seems to fail once I go back on the road.
This year I’m going to make better food choices and focus on increasing my exercise time and go for the brain power boost. Which makes me wonder, could this be the exercise high replacement?
